Firstly I would like to recap on what happened to the property market in the Hedge End and surrounding areas in 2010.
The early months of 2010 saw prices starting to recover this was due to the slowdown of houses coming to the market. After the General Election and with the coalition announcing vast public sector job cuts this lead to a worry in the market place. This meant confidence cooled in the property market leading to house prices to fall in Autumn months.
The market has really highlighted the emphasis of choosing the right agent and using the agent with the most experience with valuations. Within our local area there where many homeowners who were misadvised on their properties value leaving them being sat on the market without much interest for many months.
I am pleased to report that during these lean times, with our experience and knowledge we were able to be successful in achieving 236 property sales during this period.
With the festive season now a distant memory, the house move possibility returns to the agenda for many local homeowners. We are pleased to report that even during the early stages of January we have already seen a vast increase of new buyers registering and general activity within the market place.
On a national level there are conflicting reports and estimates into the future of property values however on a local level we believe the house prices will remain relatively stable during the course of 2011; However these trends can fluctuate within a short period of time so it is imperative in using the right agent when having your property valued.
